Fantasy Life Wiki

Treasure Groves are randomized dungeons available in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. You acquire Treasure Grove Saplings from mimics or from a shop, and they are planted in the north-west just outside the building area of Base Camp in the Present.

Mechanics[]

Once you enter the Grove, you will have one real-world hour inside it to finish as much as possible. You do not lose the Grove if you don't finish in time. You may reenter multiple times until you have beaten the Grove, but only on floors you haven't completed yet.

There are 10 "layers" to the dungeon, which each go back 10 years. The first floors start at 10 years ago. The final floor is 100 years ago and is a boss of the dungeon type. Once you have completed a floor, you can proceed to any other floor connected to it by a dotted line, even ones that are going "backwards". For example, completing a floor at "30 years ago", you can go back up the tree and complete an attached floor from "20 years ago". The deeper you go, the greater the challenge, so make sure you have levelled the respective skills or bring appropriate buddies!

Every time you clear a Treasure Grove, you unlock new years to start at. For example, after clearing your first Grove, you will be able to start the second grove 100 years ago, instead of at the present. This increases the difficulty of the dungeon, as well as the possible rewards.

Starting Year Avg. level Boss level

Dungeon Type[]

The dungeon will have an overarching theme assigned to it, which influences the majority of floors to be that type. The boss floor will always be of that type. Possible types:

  • Mining
  • Harvesting
  • Woodcutting
  • Fishing
  • Monsters

Goddess Statue[]

Sometimes you will come across a golden statue of a girl that you can interact with. Pay attention to what she says to pick the correct offering for her. If you're correct, receive a boon; if you're wrong, there's a punishment. The boon is a random item, and 3 minutes each of Magic Attack UP, Gathering UP, Natural SP Recovery UP, and Attack UP.

Choose the correct item from the list of 5 based on the phrase she says and the adjective for the "Thing", such as red, beautiful, or small.

Phrase Item
POW! There it is! Inspiration strikes again!
Time to take this to a blank canvas! But before that, I need a(n) <adjective> Thing! You'll give it to me, right?!
Brush
The goddess has protected the world for time immemorial. As gratitude, many have written tales of her holy labors.
I simply must know more. Could you bring me a(n) <adjective> Thing that describes these acts of piousness?
Sacred Text
In times like these, I cannot afford to stand idly by. Even statues must fight.
But first, I'll need a trusty <adjective> Thing to have at my side.
Sword
*Gurgle* Oopsies! Did you hear that?
Sounds like there's a monster in my tummy. And it's hungry for a(n) <adjective> Thing!
Fruit
*Sigh* How boring. Always the same pose, the same clothes...
Statues want to dress up too, you know! I'd look stunning with a(n) <adjective> Thing, don't you think?

Floors[]

Once you have completed a floor, you may not return to it, so make sure you have picked up everything that you wanted!

Aging Altar[]

At these special floors you can bury weapons, shields, or life tools to create Aged Gear with special Aged Skills. The buried equipment can be retrieved outside of the Grove, after you have beaten it. Digging up the equipment early only returns your gear and any materials buried with it.

Burying materials along with the equipment rewards rarer Aged Skills. Each material has a point value; getting to 500 points worth of materials gets the 2nd tier of Aged Skills, and 1000 points gets the 3rd and final tier.

Treasure Trove[]

Just a room with several treasure chests to open. Basically a free pass to the next floor, along with some loot!

Monster House[]

Spawns with many shadow enemies. This can be used to farm Dark Fire and Mysterious Slates.

Rewards[]

After completing the final floor of a Grove, you'll earn a Goddess Fruit, which can be exchanged with Marco for rewards including cosmetics!
