While exploring the Depths and other areas of the world, you can relax and design your own island base. You unlock more abilities with Hagram and his design functions the further you go in the Depths. There is an ability to build houses for your Buddys, bridges over water, as well as an art Gallery to design and even sell pieces of art you create with the Artist Life. As you design, more Celestia's Gift will grow allowing you to transform more Strangelings and unlock more features.
After you finish the game, there is still reason to come back to the island with a new interaction at the Goddess Statue. A butterfly will appear with a request to collect 50 Gold Celestia's Gift flowers.
Guild[]
In Chapter 3, Kunugi and the team of plushlings build a Guild as the base of operations on the island. Inside the Guild is Boyle who can assist with Party Formation, Islander Management as well as changing the player's appearance or even the island name.
Development[]
Cooke is the plushling to talk to if you want to build, upgrade, or customise your house. He can also give you kits to build infrastructer such as bridges, ramps, and stairs. You talk to him to build farms and houses for your Buddys. Developing the island will help to raise your Island Rating with Celestia. As the Island Rating rises, the cost for reverting Strangelings reduces and you can gather more Celestia's Gift.
On the island there are several deposits of rubble that can be cleared. In order to clear them, you need a certain number of residents on the island to help you out. The first needs only 1 other villager, but in order to clear them all 20 villagers are needed. Rewards will be given for clearing rubble.

There are a variety of things you can build to improve your island to your own design. From bridges and stairs to a variety of different house types. The choice is yours! Building infrastructure and houses will be needed in order to improve your island rating. The first upgrade costs 30000 Dosh.

Marco has a shop with limited stock initially. He initially asks for payment in terms of Dosh or Celestia's Gift. After getting your first Treasure Grove, you will also have the option to buy things using Goddess Fruit which you can obtain when completing Treasure Groves. He also requests some items in order to upgrade his shop to stock more items.
