The Poseidon Swordfish has approximately 10,000 HP. It will take more advanced equipment to catch. By following the advice listed below, players may simply use the (X) button / Special Power to catch the fish, rather than holding (A).

Recommended fishing rod

As a Carpenter, craft a Star Fishing Rod with an Otherworldly Fin and an orb. (Wisdom Orb, Bravery Orb, Love Orb. Doesn't matter which one.) The Special Effects will be All Fish Damage+ and All Fish Damage++

Advisable gear

With the proper stats, (100 Focus, 100 Dexterity, 100 Intelligence), a Star Fishing Rod, Buccaneer's Headband, Buccaneer Wristbands, Buccaneer Shoes, and Celestial Wings (or a Sun Ring), the Poseidon Swordfish will be quick to farm. If unable to obtain this gear, at least equip gear that increases Focus.

Fastest way to farm

Bring a mount with you to Deepsea Cave. Once you've caught a fish, ride the mount to Alejandro's Beach Hut. Enter the hut and exit. Head back to Deepsea Cave to catch another fish. Once 3 fish have been captured, turn in the bounties to the Bounty Clerk in Tortuga Archipelago.
