Area Points[]
Area Points are used to purchase level-scaling ranks. Area Points are not shared between areas. Any activity inside an area will grant a small amount of points, with Area Challenges providing up to 200 depending on the challenge & clear time.
Note: In some circumstances, you might encounter enemy spawns that are outside of the current rank range. In these cases, the enemies award points based on the rank they belong to, and not the rank that the area is set to. Example: Level 50+ enemies in Moltana Rank 3, awarding 10 area points per kill. This may or may not be a bug/intended.
Level-Scaling[]
Each area of the map can have the levels of all its content adjusted by speaking with the Googl of the area after earning the required amount of points. There are 7 available ranks for each area, with an increasing amount of points needed per rank. To get all ranks for 1 section is 150,000 Area Points; all 15 areas comes to a total of 2,250,000 Area Points.
| Rank | Area Points Needed |
|---|---|
| Rank 1 | Default |
| Rank 2 | 100 |
| Rank 3 | 1000 |
| Rank 4 | 3000 |
| Rank 5 | 8000 |
| Rank 6 | 20000 |
| Rank 7 | 150000 |
Area Challenges[]
When you approach a marked area on the map, an Area Challenge will begin! You can look on the map for the sites where these challenges spawn. Whenever you complete an Area Challenge, you are awarded 200 Dosh and 3 Cashnuts. However, the number of Arena Points you gain is based upon your completion rating, which itself is determined by challenge completion time. You can earn up to 200 Area Points per Challenge, depending on the challenge type.
| Completion Rating | Points Awarded, Gathering/Race | Points Awarded, Combat-Only |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 200 | 100 |
| Silver | 100 | 50 |
| Bronze | 50 | 30 |
Shrines[]
There is at least 1 shrine per area, with multiple different completion requirements. Finding a shrine for the first time awards 100 Area points and adds it to your map. Completion of a shrine rewards a shrine-specific Strangeling.
- Mushrooms: A Simon-style Memory game
- Path of Light: A Flow Free-esque Pathway game
- Scarecrows: Hit scarecrows until a certain number of points; Regular scarecrows add points, Bomb scarecrows remove points
- Combat: Defeat waves of enemies before the time runs out
- Harvesting: Gather from waves of nodes before the time runs out
Mimics[]
Mimics spawn as bosses all across the map, and will flee when you approach. Sometimes they will lead you to a shrine. On death, they reward Area Points comparable to defeating a Silver-Crown enemy (see above), a Treasure Grove Saplingwith exception of Mimics in caves/dungeons, and have a chance to drop a Strangeling chest. Certain Mimics in predetermined locations spawn as a bomb variant, which self destruct upon being attacked or chased a certain distance. These Mimics are not guaranteed to drop Treasure Grove Saplings.
| Area Rank | Mimic Level |
|---|---|
| 1 | 20 |
| 2 | 30 |
| 3 | 40 |
| 4 | 50 |
| 5 | 60 |
| 6 | |
| 7 |
Leafes[]
Around 4-6 Leafes are hidden around each area, with only their leaf sticking out of the ground. Interacting with the leaf frees them and they will give you a reward. After finding all Leafes in an area, the Googl of the area will give you an additional reward when spoken to.
Phantoms[]
Phantom characters spawn all over Ginormosia, and can be recruited into your party for up to 10 minutes before they will leave.
Shops[]
There are shops dotted around the map generally at each of the monster habitats. However there is a roaming shopkeeper The Don who wanders throughout Ginormosia and whose stock can change depending on which area you find him in.
